The Quality Control Lab Technician

As a member of our Scientific Affairs team, the Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for quality control inspections on filling lines and batching operations, finished product releases, and the testing and analysis of packaging materials, in-process, and finished products.

A day in the life of a Quality Control Lab Technician might include…

  • Performing testing of packaging materials.
  • Testing in-process and finished products.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for laboratory testing activities.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day production and testing (related to product release) activities to ensure compliance with all quality system requirements.
  • Checking Quality Control hourly on filling lines.
  • Frequent inspection of batching operations.
  • Recording and tracking of quality defects and preparation of quality metrics.
  • Closing and filling the batch records.
  • Releasing of finished products.
  • Reviewing of batch records and releasing of contract manufactured products.

Does this sound like you?

  • Minimum College degree in Chemical Science (or related fields).
  • 1 year of Experience working in a chemical laboratory (preferably in industry).
  • General knowledge of analytical chemistry.
  • Basic knowledge of following analytical techniques: UV/VIS, FTIR.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and possesses exceptional reporting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented.
  • Academic or practical knowledge of ISO 9001 or GMP.
  • Test method development using standards such as USP, Merck, etc.
