About the Role
We are constantly seeking new ways to transform ourselves and our role in disinfection and are currently on the lookout for a Dock Supervisor that shares our passion for safety, biosecurity, infection control, sustainability, and education.
As a member of our Warehouse team, the Dock Supervisor is responsible for booking appointments for inbound and outbound transactions, coordinating the material flow throughout the facility, as well as moving material throughout the facility.
A day in the life of a Warehouse Lead Hand might include…
- Booking supplier delivery appointments in a manner that maintains dock efficiency.
- Scheduling transportation in alignment with shipping planner requirements.
- Transferring Finished Goods according to the stage in the shipping process within the system.
- Completing all transportation documentation in the respective logistics online portals and scanning to the internal ERP system.
- Verifying and posting receipts of material.
- Working with QA to ensure safe arrival of Inbound and Outbound goods is maintained at all times.
- Maintaining compliance to warehouse GMP standards.
- Managing the recycling of returnable drums and disposal of cardboard and garbage.
- Communicating all warehousing issues (i.e. defects in quality or materials received, shipping discrepancies etc.) to the Warehouse Management Team, promptly, as they arise.
- Following up with carriers to ensure delivery requirements are met and performance is tracked.
- Ensuring all transport regulations are adhered to, specifically customs, weight, securing, and bracing.
- Coordinating with the brand marketing teams to prepare and ship tradeshow booths and materials, as required.
- Preparing shipments and all necessary customs paperwork in compliance with customs and international regulations.
- Verifying the quantity of finished product against the shipping request information upon receipt of instructions for the shipment of finished product.
- Collaborating with the manufacturing department to ensure all materials arrive on time for scheduled production.
- Performing inventory cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory across all processes.
- Transporting materials through the warehouse with care to minimize and prevent damage to finished product and materials.
- Other projects and duties, as assigned.
Does this sound like you?
- 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Valid licenses for the following equipment: counterbalance, reach truck, and walkie, as well as 3 years of experience operating each.
- Supply Chain Management Certificate is considered an asset.
- Familiar with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
- Strong MS Office Skills, particularly with Excel.
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP system knowledge is considered an asset.
- Experience using RFID Scanners.
- Strong numeracy and mathematical skills.
- Effective organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong team player, with experience providing direction to others.
- Process, detail and safety oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written format to ensure outstanding customer service is provided to internal and external parties.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations with composure

- The expected compensation for this position ranges between $25.00 per hour and $27.00 per hour.
