About the Role
We are constantly seeking new ways to transform ourselves and our role in disinfection and are currently on the lookout for an IT Services Supervisor that shares our passion for safety, biosecurity, infection control, sustainability, and education.
Reporting to the Manager, I.T. Services, the Supervisor, I.T. Services is responsible for managing the Company’s I.T. Infrastructure Services and Security.
A day in the life of the IT Services Supervisor might include…
- Developing strategies and IT standard operating procedures to enhance business workflow, efficiency, security and user satisfaction.
- Protecting company assets from outside infiltration.
- Tracking and monitoring day-to-day service levels of IT services infrastructure and conduct analysis with the goal of maintaining capacity, performance and reliability.
- Overseeing IT infrastructure services, inventory and hardware recycling program.
- Monitoring helpdesk services to ensure the management of hardware and software assets.
- Managing access level permissions, door system schedules, email distribution group set up and changes, active directory security groups, access to portals, items on the server, and ensuring permissions are maintained.
- Staging, configuring, testing and maintaining IT software and services.
- Ensuring backup infrastructure is maintained.
- Troubleshooting advanced user issues and diagnose problems in IT services, logging all problems in the helpdesk system and documenting fixes.
- Providing technical support on IT projects in coordination with the PMO.
- Monitoring and analyzing the performance of IT systems to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and security.
- Supporting the development and management of the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that enhance networking and security.
- Staying updated with the latest technology trends and advancements, particularly in networking and security.
- Acting as back-up to helpdesk, as needed.
- Managing, motivating and mentoring helpdesk staff.
- Other projects and duties, as assigned.
Does this sound like you?
- Post-Secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server preferably with hybrid (cloud) exposure.
- Experience in an IT role in a manufacturing and/or logistics environment is an asset.
- Experience using Active Directory and Azure services portals.
- Experience with firewalls and switches, specifically Cisco Meraki firewalls and FS switches and knowledge of VLANs
- Extensive Experience with VMware vCenter, VMware hosts, Microsoft Windows Server Guests, network infrastructure devices, ESXi versions 7-8 and Veeam Backup version 11-12 with HP Nimble/Alletra SAN knowledge.
- Experience with enterprise global printer setup with proxy card in Kyocera KNM printer management
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal format.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365, Project Management software and Dynamics GP an asset
- SQL Server knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with little instruction and analyze complex data.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CCNA or CISSP.
- Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs as required.
What’s in it for you?
- The expected compensation for this position ranges between $76,500.00 and $93,500.00 per year.
- This position is required to work on-site during business hours at: 2770 Coventry Road, Oakville, Ontario.
- Paid time off between December 25th and January 1st each year for all permanent full-time staff.
- 4-day Summer schedule from Mid-May to Labour Day each year.
